One AC vent in the bedroom
Yesterday I visited the Dallas RV show.
I noticed in the Pinnacle 36KPTS that there is just one AC vent in the bedroom, one in the bath and 5 (that I counted) in the living area.
I’m concerned that a single vent will adequately cool the bedroom on a hot day and the air volume out of a single vent will be quite strong.
I have 2 AC vents in my current Sunnybrook 29DBS.
I have not been in a Pinnacle with the AC on. Maybe I should go to the dealership and try it.
What do you think?

We'll have to wait for summer to check out.

Keep me posted, I'm very interested in the results.
Camping with a good AC system is very important during summer in Texas.

Here in Nevada and the West also.
We ordered the 2nd A/C for the bedroom so that will be a +.
Maybe others with a Pinnacle have some experience with hot weather.

Our Pinnacle was the same way, just one A/C Vent in the Bedroom so we added a second A/C Vent to the Bedroom.
In the Living area, the street side A/C Duct that runs from the rear to the front has 3 vents and the curb side Duct that ends in the living area had just two vents, we added a third vent in the middle on the curb side duct.
Much better air flow !!!!

I'd like to hear how you did the modification. Do you have pictures?

Not sure about the Pinnacle, but in the Eagle, the bedroom AC is tied into the same duct system as the downstairs AC.
When my living area AC runs, I get cool air from the upstairs AC register as well as the ceiling registers in the bath and bedroom.

In my Eagle, both airs are connected to the same duct allowing either one to cool the whole trailer. Both air conditioners came with chill grills, so if conditions are really hot you can let the bedroom air direct cool the bedroom while the rear air takes care of the rest of the trailer, and visa versa. There are separate thermostats for each air conditioner. It's a pretty versatile system.

That's how mine is, or rather will be soon! Both A/C's share the same duct system and have separate thermostats. I'm putting in the second A/C over the spring, but I have already verified how it connects.

Installed a new vent in the middle of the left side duct, orignally only had two vents on the left side, the front and rear one, the one in the middle was added.
Close up picture of added vent, new vent is top left in picture
Added a vent to the bedroom the one on the right on the picture was the original, the one on the left closest to the wall was added.
The new vents were purchased from the manufacturers website.

Just have to saw a hole in the ceiling and install the Vent. The new vent did not come with the white headed screws, went to Ace Hardware, got some standard screws and with a little "White Out" fromt the Dollar Store next door to the Ace Hdw store, now have screws with White heads.

On our Pinnacle, only the "Street Side" duct runs all the way from the Rear A/C to the Front A/C, the "Door Side" duct does connect to the Front A/C unit.

Nice work Rob.
We'll see how things go once we get into the hot weather.
If we feel the need to add more vents maybe we can meet up somewhere if you will offer your expertise.
I'll buy.

Rob, thanks for the info and pictures.
I take it you did not need to run ductwork, just drill into ceiling and install vent?
Very interesting!

Yep, the duct is there, on the Street Side of ours it runs from the Rear A/C all the way to the front A/C.
Just make sure you are in line with the current vents!!!!

Staying at the dealer overnight and will run everything w/electric and tank water. Everything OK we go 20 min. to Pechanga RV Resort to stay and run w/full hook-ups. Sunday we head back to Reno on US 395 and will stop in Lone Pine for the night and be back home on Monday.
Will try and get some pics up over the weekend.
