212qw

Hello, recently joined the forum. My wife and I upgraded our rb185 to the 212qw. Had it out once and so far we are glad we went with our choice.

Glad to read that you all are enjoying your new TT's, we have the 21QB, but have yet to take it out. Love the layout, can't wait to move into it and go camping.

Can I ask when everyone ordered their 212?

I ordered mine at the beginning of March, was promised by the beginning of April and now have been notified that we should receive it by the end of May. We are now getting a 2018 which doesn't really mean anything to me. What I am reading online is the new models usually don't come out until the beginning of June. I just want our trailer specially for the long weekend.

The 2018 version will likely have changes, you are entitled to know what those changes are. With regard to delivery, you at the mercy of how busy the plant is and how back logged the delivery company is. The lady at the Jayco Visitor's Center said that there are never enough delivery vendors to get new Jayco products delivered to the dealers.

Amy, we got ours last Oct. we were in Montana on our way back from Alaska and my wife called a dealer here in Pa. They had 3 left, put a deposit on it and picked it up when we got home. Definitely better than our 185rb. Going to get solar kit so we can boondock for longer than a couple days.

I've looked strongly at the 212QBW/23QB floor plan. I like them. My desire in a floor plan also includes a wardrobe in addition to the shirt closets on either side of the bed.

That's why my eye is on the 23RB now. Nice wardrobe in the bathroom, plus storage under one of the dinette benches for any heavy pantry items, and the two cabinets over the sofa for the light pantry items.

Jay Flight 22FB

Atlee:

We bought a 'like new' 2010 22FB, which I believe is identical to the newer 23RB. Had seen the layout years ago at RV shows, but we are just now transitioning out of sailing. We like it for the same reasons as you: large back wardrobe (in addition to shirt wardrobes both sides of front bed), storage under dinette benches, lots of upper cabinet space, great storage under queen bed, etc. We saw the model with the dinette & sofa across the rear, but wanted some separation in the seating, as well as more / better viewing positions for television. And the nice large rear bath. Our unit has a free-standing aftermarket futon/couch with split rear back (open underneath) that folds down, making a longer bed than standard couch. Even better, it can be removed for more open space and / or addition of 1 or 2 small upholstered chairs/recliners. Best of luck in your search... there are almost too many choices.

2018s

I thought I would phone Jayco myself yesterday. They were super friendly and told me that they just started building 2018 trailers yesterday. The 212 is due to be built at the end of May/beginning of June. She couldn't even tell me what the differences are in the 2018 versus the 2017. So I figure we won't see any trailer until at least the end of June. I think I may phone around tomorrow.

Really I just want to go camping.

We went from a 195RB to the 212QBW last fall, used it for one night on the way home from the dealer, than covered it for the winter. Looking forward to our long May Weekend here in Ontario to take her out. The 195RB is a great layout, but the 212 offered more, and the things we were missing, so our dealer gave us a good deal on it. Not sure in the US, but i believe the 212 is going to be a popular sell up here for dealers.... it has a really good price point, and for those who have no need for a slide,it's a great layout. As far as being a quality RV, it's a Jayflight, the best bang for your buck on the market .... don't expect Airstream quality, just a good ole reliable trailer that will provide you many years of camping fun!
One word of advise ..... support the bed, you will enjoy your nights sleep 10 times more ( see my previous posts)
