Black exhaust

We just bought our 242 jay flight SLX. A couple weeks ago I did a dry run in the driveway. The trailer is parked next to the house. Well today I noticed some black marks from the exhaust. Wasn't much but the trailer was running for 24 hours. When I wiped the siding with just a paper towel and water the black did not come completely off. See pics. (Pics are sideways) Any ideas?? It's brand new! I opened the door and no bugs.

We are going on our first trip and it's four days this Sunday. Hopefully it's nothing serious.

Make sure the burner tube is clear of obstruction.
Get a Mr. Clean magic eraser to clean the soot from the sidewall.

I had the same thing happen first use, shut it down after a few minutes, restarted and all was good, bugs, cobwebs, etc. can get in the burner tube and cause this.

Definitely looks like something is causing a partial obstruction of the burner.

It's a simple adjustment with this screw. You need to adjust your air mixture so you get a clean burn,This tube slides in and out. Mine is 7 years old and as you can see no soot.
