That's why they offer both. Different strokes. Our fiver has more storage than things to store.

Thank you all for your replies. All comments are well recieved.

I too do not need the storage nor the bed. I plan to remodel the dinette for a table that doesn't wiggle and has a drop leaf for added space. I will bunggie the chairs when traveling just to be safe.

I think booth or free standing is just a matter of personal taste and needs. We prefer the free standing chairs and table. Since it is just the two of us traveling, we just take two chairs. The chairs did tend to fall over and move around when traveling. With just two chairs, they can be stacked as in the picture and they do not move at all:

There's lots of advice and information in forums... sometimes it is correct. For example, all of my posts are made by a political appointee who got the job as a reward for contributions to my diesel bill.

All our previous trailers had the booth. I liked the extra storage the booth provided. But now we have the T&C with the Pinnacle and really like it. And, we don't miss the storage of the booth. With only my DW and myself, we removed 2 of the chairs into our stick house and have more than ample space. As said, chairs are more comfortable and easier to get in and out of. Each chair has seat cushion storage for small items like place mats, etc. Some say the chairs don't move when towing, but we've always use the bungie chord that came with them to secure the chairs to the table legs. Takes just seconds to do.

We have the t&c in our 5er but would prefer the booth for the extra storage also.

I just ordered an Eagle TT, and we opted for the T&C. I want to swap the recliner sofa with the T&C to get it pointed at the TV.

All of our previous TT's and 5er's have had Booth's and with kids and such it worked great.

Plus more storage of stuff for the kids.

But now that we are Fulltiming and have more storage than the two of us need, the Table and Chairs are nice.

Like others, since there is only two of us, we took two of the chairs out and they are in our storage unit.

Just depends on your preference and how you are going to use it.

Tim, you have my interest in your remodel project. We had originally planned on getting the Eagle 298RLDS with table & chairs option.
However, I think now we will get the 266RKS (hitch wt of the 298 is very high). We really liked the idea of the T&C in lieu of booth.
That's not an option for the 266. So, I like the sound of your idea.
Q: How are you planning the remodel? Are you using Jayco T&C or buying something else? How about attachment of the table?
Also, how are you planning on repairs to your TT floors & walls from removal of the booth? Are you doing the work or hiring someone?
When you get the remodel underway please post pixs for us all.
And, best wishes for a successful remodel!

We've had both.

For us, table and chairs are the only option. I would not buy another trailer with a booth.

But, that's just me....

dinette - booth or table-n-chairs

this is not about dinnet boot vs table and chairs but I could not help but but in....
Our firt TT had a U shaped dinette and hated it!!! two adults facing each other would work well but the back part of it was terrible. The seat was narrow and difficult to get into ( and I am a 135 lbs woman!). Not a comfortable set up to watch TV on. We did not have a couch either, just the U dinette and the bed. I am sure it's great for some ppl but not for us. We now have a regular dinette on the front of the 5th wheel and a love seat on the back and love it! Not sure about table and chairs, I would not want to have to tie them down before each trip.
