I finally completed a few modifications to my small trailer as I prepare for my first trip of the year. I intentionally waited and used the trailer for a year to see how I use it before making my modifications.
Today was about storage and my TV. I saw space between the cabinets in the kitchen area and over the dinette and thought it was an awful waste. I used some scraps from my shop to make some storage boxes that will hold things like my iPad, magazines, books and maps. The one in the kitchen area will be perfect for holding large utencils.
I had a small, 20-inch flat screen TV to mount and decided there was no way I was going to be able to mount it directly to the thin, hollow divider/wall over the entertainment cabinet. Instead, I built a base from plywood which I fastened well to the cabinet. I installed a small TV mount and it works like a charm. Some bungees and hooks hold the TV firmly while in transit. I drilled a couple of 1 1/2" holes to run cables and power cords for the TV and DVD player inside the cabinet.
