Back when I had a 37' King of the Road 5th. wheel we pulled from Alaska to southern Mexico every year. It amounted to approx. 12k miles per trip.
I did the whole service on my rig.........new bearings/seals, grease, backing plate with new brakes installed and new brake "pucks". I did that every other year. I never had a brake or bearing problem in 6 trips.
I loved that rig as it had torsion bars instead of springs. They worked perfectly. Never a problem.
