Jayco Pop ups in Colorado?

Hello,

I'm new to the forum and my wife and I are thinking about getting a pop up. After a lot of research online, we really like the Jayco line of pop ups, especially the 1208 model. So the next step is to go and actually see one in person, however, we haven't been able to find anyone in the Denver area that carries Jayco pop ups.

Does anyone know of a dealer in Denver or elsewhere in Colorado that carries Jayco pop ups?

Thanks.

I checked the dealer list on the Jayco website. It shows that Camping World in Golden and in Longmont are camping trailer (Jayco's term) dealers. Also, Zabukovic Motors in Pueblo West is listed as a dealer. The dealer locator on the Jayco site will give you the contact info. I would suggest calling ahead to verify the inventory before making a trip.

Since what you are wanting to do is eyeball pop-ups, instead of chasing down a dealer U should head to a couple of area CG's and in paticular State Parks since they seem to be magnets for pop-ups. Why? The dealer wants to sell you something and his answers will be flavored to make that happen. Owners at the CG's simply want to show you what they have and what they like and don't like. Take notes! You'll find experienced owners and they will explain why they stayed with a popup when they upgraded and newbies who will give you their wants and needs when they went shopping.

All in all, you'll find out more info from current owners.

Thanks for your replies!

I've called most of dealers that pop up (no pun intended) on the Jayco website. Non of them carry the pop ups though. We spent yesterday afternoon driving around to various rv dealers in the area and found only one that had any pop ups at all. They carried starcraft which were pretty nice. They also told us that no one in the area takes pop ups seriously. Doing a google search for the Denver area turned up only one other rv center that carries new pop ups, the Flagstaff line so we'll be making a trip their to check those out.

Good idea about hitting some campgrounds!

Thanks again for the replies!

Welcome to JOF! Many RV folks are proud of their rigs and willing to talk about them and sometimes show them off! Bassdogs has a good point, you can get some real-world reviews by talking to campers while they are camping. Also, search around JOF, as the 1208 is a pretty popular popup and I'm sure you will find some owners willing to talk about theirs -- the good points and mods that they did to makes things a little easier/better.

If considering previously owned, check out Craig's list
