X17Z no TV channels
I have a 2015 X17Z. We just put a TV in it but are not getting any channels.
I have tried the booster on and off and rotating the antenna around, but I am getting no signal at all. I programmed the Tv
at home so I know it works. Any suggestions to try?

are you sure you have the input selected correctly on the TV? Coax..maybe it is on Hdmi or something..just a thought other than that maybe there are no channels to get where you are sitting

Check the coax connection on the antenna and the booster has to be on.

I know there are channels where we are. Is there a coax connection at the antenna on the roof? I have tried two different cables with no luck.

That is what I forgot at the beginning of this season...the booster switch! Make sure you power up the booster!

OK I was checking on a main channel with no luck and decided to flip through the other channels. I am getting 2 but not very well even after rotating the antenna. Is there anything I can do to boost the signal more short of getting satellite? We just became members at the campground as it is a 1/2 hr from our home.

I get one or two channels when the trailer is at home but nothing camping. There are very few over the air TV channels left.

You realize you have to be setup for ANTENNA from the TV MENU. Have the booster on indicated by a small LED light ON at the antenna panel.
Then you point the BATWING roof antenna towards the local town that has the digital HDTV BROADCAST station. Then you have to scan for digital stations from the menu and hopefully will start picking up DIGITAL TV STATIONS being counted. We always see 6 or more just about about anywhere we go on the East side of the US.
If you don't see any DIGITAL STATIONS being counted then stop the scan and move the antenna one way or the other just a little. Then start scan all over again.
When the scan has completed (sometime take 5-10 minutes) then you should be able to watch some high def HDTV signals from the local town...
With DIGITAL HDTV BROADCAST TV signals it is usually perfect reception or nothing at all - not like the old days of seeing "snowy" pictures and peaking up on them...
The low numbers station start being picked up first. Generally if you don't see any station being counted in the first 15% of the scan you can stop scanning and move the antenna a bit...
You must scan every time you setup. The digital stations all use different numbers sequences.
enjoy...

I use tvfool.com to know the direction of the TV signals in relation to the campground. In combination with a compass, I can quickly aim the antenna and then tweak for maximum signal.
My first mod to my Winegard batwing antenna was to add the Wingman accessory which greatly aids in the reception of UHF channels. Most digital OTA channels have a UHF channel assignment.
I echo the same points of making sure the antenna booster is on and a fresh channel scan has been performed in antenna setup on the TV. At this time, make sure that the source for any channel scan is antenna, not cable.
And make sure that the coax connections are snug, including the one under the weather boot on the antenna itself and behind the wall mounted stereo unit. Also, make sure that the bare coax wire is straight and not bent (as it protrudes from the barrel head connector) in confirming a proper connection.
The only other thing that comes to mind is interference from other devices running at the same time. In my hybrid, before upgrading to a Fantastic Fan in the bathroom, the original fan, when running, would interfere.

I second that. You may need to scan more then 1 or two times. Just bc you scanned at home doesn't mean those channels will work at camp. Just keep rotating and scanning. And yes some scans can be 10 min +!!! AHHHH!!!

Thanks for all the replies. I will look into adding the accessory to the antenna. We are heading back to the campground next weekend and will see if it is any better.

1 Your TV input has to be on antenna
2 you have to re-scan for channels where you are
3 Go to main menu, then to "Channels" to do a program scan
4 Point your antenna in the direction of the TV towers, if your not sure go to TV Fool.com and put in the zip code of the campground it will show you where to point it and what channels you should be able to pickup.
5 As stated above make sure your booster is on...little green light will be on next to the switch.

Thanks for all the replies. The camp ground we are going to frequent has poor reception for our camper. Just got back from another camp ground and everything worked fine.

You can also try antennaweb.org for info for aiming the antenna
