Little dry here

At Medina Lake RV TT park...very little water left in the lake, all by the Dam.
Took the Jeep into the lake bed by the TT park... couple of photos.

"Took my Chevy to the levee but the levee was dry".

I don't know where Medina Lake is but that dry condition is pretty much the norm here. We are in a 22 year drought. Lake Mead and Lake Powell are near low pool which when hit will throw water rations into effect for much of the SW.

Medina Lake is just North North West of San Antonio, TX...

Yes, I have been following Lake Mead's drain for several years...sad to see it.

Its so weird... put man made lakes in desert type areas, then surround those man made lakes with a massive influx of people that intend to use that water and the water level goes down.

Sounds like global warming to me.

It has been suggest here for years that building be restricted but money buys politicians and nothing happens.
On top of that the low lake levels are not a result of use as much as a 22 years drought that has not produced the snow pack of the past. Global warming or not the results are now very evident in Powell and Mead as well as others.

so help me understand.

If we live in a closed system "what goes up through evaporation must come down" then where did all the water go. Can't go into space "closed system"...???

unfortunately/fortunately I think you are right

California sure has had it's issues. I have family who live there and it always seems as something is coming at them. Politics aside, people are suffering down there between wildfires and flooding. My heart does go out to the people of California "maybe not the politicians"... Ha Ha

All the water is still there, it's just not going where we would like it to when we would like it to.
Changing weather patterns are the issue.

I know Arizona

I know Arizona is practicing water storage underground now for future use.
Happy travels

Such fun! The most recent of any size (3.9) was yesterday morning at 2am. Someone commented in a local rag "shaky shaky, waky, waky"

That rag has started a bot-maintained page with a map of the latest 50 quakes above 1.5, and prior pages of 50 each. They are up to 4 pages since December 20.

it's good...when you can get a campground that will let you plug it in, else don't get much gas milage as usual with Jeep.

Torque is great, has handled the mountain off-roading so far with no issues.
