Be sure to visit Thousand Trails in Seaside OR. Great park and the community is awesome with a throwback to earlier boardwalk type stores and arcades, outlet malls, great restraunts and you can see where Goonies was filmed (Astoria & Cannon Beach)

We regularly go to Cannon Beach RV resort. Indoor swimming pool and hot tub. There is a shuttle to the beach.

Pacific Beach is a great place! Right on the beach, lots of kites flying everywhere. We were hailed on, on the beach in February ... one of my favorite experiences! A great way to check out the NW in off season is a "readycampgo" pass, which will get you into Thousand Trails and Encore properties for $25 a night. I paid $25 for the pass with a promo code, but you can find free promo codes (I don't like giving to much information). Favorite summertime spots are Concuncunlly because I ride quads and Chelan because the family loves it.
So many places, just get out and have fun!

Kiwanda rv park in pacific city is good. Very close to beach. Ll stub Stewart state park near vernonia is nice and quiet and has walking trails. Mossy rock in Washington is always a winner. There are so many!

2nd vote for Cape Disappointment State Park. Deception Pass State Park is nice but quite frankly they built it in the days before 30' trailers - it's tight.

Eastern Washington we really enjoy Yakama RV Resort in Toppenish. It's related to the Casino so facilities are excellent and trips to nearby wineries are a must.

If you are visiting Seattle and want a place to "base" yourself nearby, there's a couple:
1) KOA Seattle in the Kent Valley - not a place to go camp as it's a glorified sardine can, but again convenient to Seattle from the South
2) Trailers Inn Park in Bellevue - again, not a place to camp, but to base yourself from the East
3) Across the freeway is Vasa Park Resort. It's private park with a nice area dedicated for campers, and there is a beach on-site.
4) In the North is Lake Pleasant RV Park in Bothell which is a nice secluded park for being close to the city.

The nearest Thousand Trails is by Tall Chief east of Redmond, and it's a bit of a grovel to get into the city.

Headed to Paridise Thousand Trails Resort Silver Creek (Mossy Rock), Wa for 4th of July Weekend!

I know this is an older thread, but I'm relocating (hopefully) and have a 27bh, was wondering if I should get a smaller TT in OR and leave my bigger one in Texas where they are very popular? We don't mind tenting when its cooler weather like OR, but in TX its frequently very hot which is why we got the TT in the first place.

I guess the question is, are the typical camping spots (including boondocking which I may do a lot of) rougher / tighter so that we can't easily use the 27' TT? I don't want to be "that guy" who is trying to fit a behemoth trailer into a venue that it won't easily fit, looking like Clark Griswald or something! Here in TX, things are made big and space is pretty big, so this size trailer is pretty do-able. I'd hate to haul the thing way up there and then find out its too big for what we want to use it for in that part of the country.

We have a 25RKS and don't have too much trouble finding a site. The state parks we stay at along the coast have a lot of 40+ ft driveways. Can't speak to boondocking except when we don't score a hookup site at the SP.
