Solar ready?

Picking up our 2019 jay flight 174bh Baja camper next week. On the list of stuff that comes with the Baja it says solar ready. Anyone know exactly what that means ? Hoping all I need is a panel and I’m good to go. Thx

You will almost certainly need need a solar charge controller, too.

In most cases, "solar ready", seems to mean, "There's a connector that's wired directly to the battery". No attempt at regulation or protection, so be sure you get the controller to go with your solar panel.

I just means they ran a wire from the roof to the battery... Usually the wire ran is too thin to be of any real use..

My 2017 just has a solar hookup near the battery. I throw two panels 100w panels on the roof and throw the wires down the front to the charge controller. From there I simply plug in.
Yours may have the hookup on the roof with wires already ran inside

Is there a SOLAR charge controller between the SOLAR panels and the batteries? IF not there is a good chance you will kill the batteries by over charging them.
