2017 Seneca 37TS Removable Nut Covers

I need help on getting my removal nut covers on my rear center hub off. I have tapped on them with a rubber mallet, pried with a pair of channel locks(covered with inner tube) but cannot get them off. What next??

Everyone I've seen is they unscrew just like a regular lug-nut, but that cap stays on the nut. That is how our 08 SENECA was, they have a dimple or dot on the chrome piece.

As stated two of the chrome nuts will be dimpled, those unscrew from the lug studs. Then you can pull the hub cover off and the "real" lug nuts are visible.
Look around your unit for a T-handle socket, that is the tool to remove the two nuts that retain the hub cover.

MY unit did not have the tool included when I purchased it(used). As best that I can measure the rear wheel nuts are about 39mm or 1 1/2". can you confirm this. Also, I haven't measured the front ones but I know they are larger than the rear wheels. Did you get 2 different wrenches??
I would like to get them off to make polishing the wheels a bit easier.

Thanks

All 4 of my wheels have the same size retaining nut, 2 per wheel. My unit is at my storage facility or I would measure...... Sorry!

Interesting:
My rear wheels have the dimple with the straight line crease like in your picture but my front ones have a circular dimple. Will do more checking later today

I wonder if prior owner may have changed one set at some point because of loss or damage? Or did Jayco do something different in later years as compared to my 2014? Perhaps someone with the same year Seneca as yours will chime in and relate what they have just so we know!

Still don't know why I have 2 different size retaining nuts but I did find out by looking at the Dicor Corp website(sellers of Versa Liner) that the retaining nuts that have a straight line dimple, the cover is not removable(jam nut and cover are an assembly) but if you have a circular dimple, the cover is pried off to expose the jam nut. Hope this helps someone else
