Any Canadians buying a Ford extended warranty in the U.S.?

I have read conflicting things on the net, saying that some Canadian dealers won't honor the warranty, or alternatively, that Americans won't sell to a Canadian registered vehicle.

Any experiences? It seems that the warranty's are much cheaper in the U.S., as everything else is.

Thanks.

Did you take into account the dollar exchange? IF you find a dealer in the states that will sell you the warranty I think all dealers will have to cover you..

I have looked into it, I had a Ford F150 2013 which I did buy an extended warranty. I was told at that time you need a US address, I have one as I have things shipped to place in Detroit. I just purchased a 2016 F150 and have gotten a price of $1,400us for 7years. If I do the conversion I still save over approx. $1,500. I think it is worth it.

Several friends of mine have bought their trucks down south because it was cheaper when the dollar was better. When one made his deal he had the coverage
for the warranty for anywhere in North America as part of the deal so it didn't matter where he took it in for warranty. Oddly enough my Jayco trailer is covered the same way. I live in BC and have a Jayco dealer down the road from me but
I preferred to have my warranty work done by a shop in Mount Vernon Washington.
