Are There Things You'd Like Jayco to Change?
We have been very happy with our Eagle, but if I had to select just one negative, it would be that the 15% tongue weight, which combined with the otherwise great closet across the beam and all underbelly storage in front, easily overloads WD bars.
What would you like done to your Jayco product? And this is not an invitation to b.... & moan, just serious suggestions.

Per wired for AC in the bunkhouse, course that would also require 50 amp service, so I am wishing for too much.

A few suggestions I have we're changed in 2014 - black trim and black hardware and covers outside, slam baggage doors. Above that, a wall mounted light switch in the bunk room, skylight over kitchen area, high gloss exterior fiberglass, microwave in the exterior kitchen, and a few odds and ends.

We really don't have much to suggest in the way of improvements - we like our unit pretty much as is. The only things I can think of is making a quadra exterior step available as an option instead of the tri-step, and the option of painted graphics instead of decals which peel after a few years. Other than that, leave things as they are.

I would love to have see through vinyl in the bunkends. From the inside out 1st. tenting material that is already used 2nd. see through vinyl (new), 3rd. screening that is already used. Having see through vinyl in the bunkends would allow you to see outside when it is raining, hot and using the AC, cold and using the furnace.

I wish ours had a larger fresh water tank and a shower stall, this has been changed in the new model of our trailer which is the Eagle 266RKS. We love the trailer just the same.

We have a 2013 26RLS.
I would like to have a fan on the rear vent. And my wife would like to have a switch on the wall for the bathroom fan which she can't reach as it is up in the vent.
That's it. We really like this TT.

It's a little thing, but.... The door is latched open, it starts to rain, and I have to stand outside in the rain on the steps to reach (and struggle with) the latch that keeps the door open. I'd love to have a thingy inside that I pull or twist and SPROING! the door unlatches and swings shut. Either that, or someone tell me how to grow longer arms.... Oh, and on our Designer, the closet could have been made two inches deeper without problems (i.e. bring the sliding doors out a little). As it is, it's just not deep enough for regular clothes hangers without the sliding doors rubbing up against the shoulders of the garments. I lowered the clothes rod and moved it back a hair, which helped a little. The original clothes rod was very flimsy and buckled halfway through our first trip. I replaced it with a sturdier clothes rod and a center brace.

Prewire awning for motion sensor, or give as option. All Fifth wheels plumbed for washer dryer. Shocks?

OK, we love our X20E, but no trailer is ideal except the one you build yourself. So there are a few annoyances.
Skip the oven which almost no uses, and give me a drawer in the X20E instead.
Go back to a lightweight and easy to carry folding table leg style instead of that weird, heavy, bulky scissors thing.
A shelf 2/3 or higher in the shower.
Lug center caps on the white wagon wheels. Why did they stop putting these on?
Mount the entertainment system on the same side as the TV shelf.
Put the fresh water inlet on the same side as the potable water hose in the campground!
A longer awning! 10ft on a 20ft trailer?
Put some kind of netting or such thing on the overhead storage above the beds so that you can actually store something in them.

Good one. I had to fix several small things that should have been caught before it left the factory.

a roof vent in the living quarters and front bedroom for our whitehawk. Why only 1 vent in the bathroom?

We have the 2013 Eagle 31.5RLTS 5th W--more windows in the kitchen area or a skylight, hate the window treatment, the surrounds take up 7-8" which makes it hard to swivel chairs in rear and moving the chairs at the dining area. Same in the bedroom. Other than that love it. Slowly make changes needed.

That was one of my top items. They talk about Amish craftsmanship, but from what I've seen, the entire camper is put together with screws installed crooked. I've found some too that weren't even there.
But I think my #1 top item has to be sloppy, hurried, electrical work. With my previous Jayco, a 2005 Jay Feather LGT, I came very close to the thing going up in flames ( See: Almost-had-an-electrical-fire!!
Investigation revealed a very sloppy birds nest of 120v wiring inside the breaker box. So it goes without saying, the 120v electrical work is a point of heightened interest for me.
Once we got our new 2013 Eagle 284BHS home, I spent some time getting familiar with it. I took the cover off the breaker box and guess what I found?
The white neutral/common wire from the shore cord was barely attached and only about half of the strands in the wire inserted into the buss bar. This is in a 50 amp service. If I would have tried to push the rated 50 amps through an electrical conductor that was degraded by about 50%, I would have had another electrical fire.
Another thing I wish they would do was to run a 12v electrical supply wire to the overhead vent above the main bed. Many folks besides myself, like having a powered vent fan over the bed in the ceiling like the FanTastic fan. We got the optional prewiring for the 2nd AC, but all that is there is a coax cable. There is no thermostat wire or a 12 volt power supply wire. I just spent the last day and a half, fishing an electrical wire from the main power center under the stove to the vent opening above the bed. That had to be about 90% of the job of getting the FanTastic fan installed. Now that I have 12v electrical to the vent, putting the vent in should be a piece of cake.
The Eagle is supposed to be the top of the line travel trailer that Jayco makes. But I have to admit I am rather disappointed in the build quality and the corners that were cut.

Give me a few more inches of holding tank outlet height. Oh, would be nice to have some sort of safety bar standard on top bunks to keep the kiddies from rolling out onto the floor at 2AM.

Love our 308 RETS...
However our X17Z (we like too) needs a shower surround & the faucets relocated. We had water all over the floor multiple times this weekend. Great TT for get aways weekends, but the Shower needs redesigned! Wall surround, relocate shower faucet & a better current or light weight surround.
