Bedroom reading lights don't work, fuses ok

Above the Queen bed on either side, *installed on the side of the wardrobes, are a couple reading lights I'd love to be able to use.
I checked the fuses. All good. The other outlets & lights in the bedroom are working fine. I replaced both bulbs with brand new ones from the dealership, and when they didn't work, I took a bulb from a working light over the dinette, and the reading lights still would not work. They have a push button type of on/off switch.
I was wondering if anyone else here had experienced this problem, and how you might have gone about correcting it.

First I would do is remove the fixtures and check the power and ground supply.

My wife would get frustrated with those reading lights and complain they didn’t work.. then I would show her she had to ‘long’ press the buttons to make them work.. don’t know why, but to this day she still gets frustrated with them. They work fine for me.

Ours quit one day as I was opening the slide. I am guessing it is either a short or the came unplugged somehow.
