Damp Rid

We live in a hot (although it’s only warm now), humid climate (SE Texas), and we keep Damp Rid in the camper while in storage.
Yesterday, we went over to check on it. There is now liquid at the bottom of the Damp Rid containers, where there had not been much of the winter.
How often do I need to change it out?

Can I just leave it as it is until our trip next month, or do I need to get new ones in sooner?

There should be a mark on the side of the container showing when to replace it. I use them and the first half seems to fill up pretty quickly, then it slows down. Even though I live in Texas also, mine has never filled completely before the 6 month recommend replacement time.

Dollar Tree has the same chemical for a lot less. I use it in Florida in cabinets to reduce humidity.

When all the white beads are converted to gel like liquid in the bottom it will not have any more capacity to absorb water from the air.

It is non toxic so just put it in the garbage.

I’ve used this in our sailboat. Works great. When all the crystals are dissolved, the container is nothing but water. Dump it and refill with more crystals.

That's pretty much the drill on using this stuff. I keep a container of it under the kitchen island, the shower pan, and the bathroom sink. Have had several water leaks from bad drain seals, a failed vent on the blacktank flush, and bad fitting on a pex line. I hate plumbing and as I've gotten older its more and more difficult to get into tight spaces and work on stuff. I have fought thru the above problems over the recent years and have gone without problems now for 1 1/2 years. Each problem put water on the floor and this compound has been great to dry things after sopping up what I could with towels. Usually get a lot of recovery in the first 3 months of use and then change them out every 6 months.
