Ducted ac

Has anyone converted their LR ducted ac to a regular system by putting the plenum through the ceiling to connect with the roof unit? My duct system may be quiet but it is meek mild and wimpy! And that is after the dealer found blockages and improved it!

Thanx. That is what I needed to know! I think that is what Jayco installed in the bedroom. Now all i need is one for the LR. When we get to a campground and it is 95 out, we don’t want to wait 2 hours for a cool down.

Before you do this, try taping up the ducts. Basically remove each register, tape (aluminum AC tape) the ceiling to the main ducting to eliminate any air leaking into the attic space. While you’re at it, remove the black ring on the register. It usually blocks a lot of airflow. This will cost you $10 or less and 30-45 minutes of time. You’ll see a dramatic difference in airflow and as a result, faster cooling.

I assume you're talking about the "Whisper Quiet" system. Just remember that unit does not have the ceiling bolts to hold the ceiling assembly. It is mounted to the roof with lag bolts from the top.
