Ermagerd... Rotten eggs!

Discovered eggs in the trailer fridge today. They've been in there for two months and it is hot here in Tennessee. Of course the trailer smells awful. I got the refrigerator cleaned out but the trailer and the refrigerator smell terrible. Are any of the commercial available products any better than just putting out a tray of charcoal? It looks like Lowe's carries a lot of Gonzo products

Get an ozone generator machine…. Relatively cheap and it clean the air and surfaces….. what car dealerships use when people smoke in the car.

X2. They work really well in these types of situations.

Excellent idea... Except I have no electricity and no way to get it unless I go camping. That ain't happening with the odor. I just have no options for electricity.

So I need the best absorption method I guess.

Maybe try putting an opened can of ground coffee and a big tray full of charcoal briquettes inside it???

I've heard they both soak up the stink, but never tried it myself.

They make an ozone spray. It's not as good as a generator but should work after multiple applications. Just be sure and get the pure Ozone not one of the "scented" ones. My friends and I smoke cigars on my garage over the winter. I use the spray to take the lingering odor out.

Isn’t white vinegar in an open container supposed to absorb bad odors?

Just as a follow-up, once I cleaned out the refrigerator really well and used a spray cleaner, I also took whatever refrigerator parts could be removed into the house and scrubbed them down in the sink. Then I took them back to the camper and used Gonzo odor absorption products from Lowe's within and without the refrigerator. I think I put two or three of them inside the refrigerator and then one or two out in the camper. I'm sensitive to any kind of odor such as perfumes and this was not my favorite option but way better than rotten eggs. Even after removing them, the aroma lingers but it dissipated. I'm satisfied with Gonzo products for sure. I was truly afraid I was going to have to sell the camper at a loss.

ground up charcoal in flat pan, (oil change buckets work good) placed i 3 for locations in your RV for a few days. Also good to keep a small container your fridge all the time. We have done this for years and never ever have fridge orders. Good Luck

I didn't try the ground up charcoal or the Ozium but I have used both methods on other issues. I can't say for sure but 2 month old rotten eggs in Tennessee Heat might have been above their abilities. It was one of the worst smell I've ever smelled and I am an ICU nurse. Anyway, I'm glad it's gone and the camper is usable again.

That's good news, smell is gone.. My grandmother used to burn candles in the bathroom. Although i was never to sure about it, she claimed the burning candles controlled the bad #2 orders.. Now it's time to go enjoy that camper..

Touché. No evidence of mice. Even they couldn't stand the smell. 🤣

I learned something today: I thought you had a spelling error on your title but nope.

Funny... Except I guess I shouldn't have used it. I don't like what it refers to, but didn't think about it. Guess I've been conditioned to something.
