Furrion DVD Player

Anyone else have issues with the Furrion DVD player not playing US format DVDs? I get a format error with just about every DVD I try. Got it with a 2018 Octane 161.

Ive played a few DVDs in mine since getting it. I found I can put movies on a usb memory stick and play many but not all i tried. 32gb is all i have tested so far that works. I tried a 128gb and it wouldn't read it. I also tested the mini port behind the removable panel and it works the same. I dont have any non-US region DVDs to test with.

HamptonT, Have you tried running a cleaning disc through it, I had this same issue with another brand player and it solved the problem.

How do you put movies on a USB memory stick?
Can you put DVD movies on them?
How many movies fit on a 32 gig stick?
Thanks!

1. Use a DVD ripper like https://www.winxdvd.com/dvd-ripper
2. Copy the converted movie file to your memory stick
3. Depends on the converted files resolution and compression rate. I dont need blue ray quality and try to keep the converted file size relatively low, around 1-2 gb each. That results in about 16 -28? movies.

I've found a Amazon Firestick works very well as a movie player. By using an OTG cable you can add a USB port to it. I'm using a 128g SD card successfully and that holds many movies with little to no re-endoding requirements.

There's free movie playing apps you can use, I like VLC. Even with no wireless connection you can launch the app and play them on your TV. No Furrion player required and its movie playing interface is super bad.. as well as its format support.

I don't want to hijack the thread - but kinda related. Anyone ever get bluetooth to work with the dv3300 model? I can get them to pair, but never fully "connect". I've reset it multiple times, and that's how I finally got our phones to at least pair.

From support in case anyone else comes across this in the future. Gonna try it this weekend.

Good afternoon,

If you are still under Jayco's warranty you will need to take the RV to a Jayco Dealership. They have a 2 year warranty from date of purchase.

You can try the following below. Usually this does the trick.

Please follow these exact steps below, and share your results.

Disconnect the connection between the phone & the stereo system

Turn your BT off on your phone.

Take a paperclip and press/hold the reset button (while stereo is on) for 30 seconds to perform a hard reset.

Turn the stereo back on

Turn stereo source to BT

Place the top of your phone to the front of the stereo, turn BT back on, and Scan the network

Choose the stereo.

Once connected you may remove the phone.

This System uses NFC technology so it must be touching when first pairing
