Hybrid/tent trailer mattress options?

What's everyone's opinions on this?

We're debating either a 3" foam slab over our existing mattress, or an 6" memory foam mattress that will replace the existing mattress all together.

The price difference between is about 200 dollars. Any other options or experiences?

We purchased a 3" Foam topper. It was a night and day difference. If you buy a high quality topper, it is more flexible and easy to use in the bunk ends. A larger topper would be harder to store and move into the bunkend once everything is set up.

I use a memory foam topper on my bed. It makes the mattress much more comfy.

We just sold our hybrid for a Jay Flight 24RKS, but on our hybrid we used Aerobed w/ memory foam topper. It was more comfortable than our home bed.

We went with the cost effective option of a heavily memory foamed mattress pad from Kohls. Our coffers were empty after the trailer purchase and subsequent necessities were purchased, so we didn't have the option of anything too extravagant. Having said that, it's decent, especially considering we usually sleep in sleeping bags as well. Our first night in the camper was like sleeping on a board on top of a rock, so it wasn't hard to improve upon that, I suppose! :hihi:
