Almost looks like it was cross threaded when it was tightened? Those guys are pretty rugged. Hard to snap one if it's going on right?

If you're replacing the hose, consider one with a built-in pressure gauge. It's not all that useful for determining how much gas is left in the tank but it will tell you at a glance from the top if a tank is empty. $27/pair Amazon.

Either way, if it was, that means either the dealer or the Jayco factory cracked it. Both not good.

Because it's been cross-threaded. You can see the knob near the hose is off centered with the rest of the plastic on the bottle. That's from forcing it on while cross-threaded.

No, that's not the case, it was not cross threaded. The reason it's off center in the photo is because of the weight of the hose pulling out of the broken nut.
When I supported the hose it all went back together and looked like it was in one piece. I just didn't take a photo of that.

Well, are you a brute who does not know their own strength, or you used a BIG pair of pliers, or ? :-) PLASTICS= NO TOOLS :-) BTW, I recently learned the COLOR tells orifice size, so go back w/ BLACK.

Yep. They make hoses in the Good Old USA. I got some on mine.

Black knobs on propane hoses are for BBQ grills. Rvs will require green ones for the capacity of the multiple appliances.

They build with what the customer orders. Jayco or whatever the US company is that orders specified the material.

I have seen where US companies are having parts made overseas, but made to the US specs, and with company oversight. Those sometimes advertise as "Assembled In USA". Just manufactured somewhere else. Years ago, the DW's '96 Mercury Grand Marquis was almost 40% foreign parts. It started a long time ago.

Just a thought, discharging propane is extremely cold. If connection wasn’t solid, could have frozen the plastic.
