Congrats on your new rig!

I have a set of keys for the rig and all other locks that go with it.
DW has same.
Tahoe console has the same.
Duplicate keys add up in cost, but are well worth it.

X2! More than once I’ve driven out to our sailboat more than 30 miles away to realize I didn’t bring the keys. I’ve done the same with our RV but luckily it’s just a couple of blocks away. So, multiple keys in multiple places is the only way to go.

Bad feeling when you get somewhere and find out the keys that you need are at home. Happened to me on a camp trip, woke up to a flat tire and found out the spare tire lock keys were at home. Had to air up the tire several times to limp back to Discount Tire and they had to cut the spare tire lock.

Not having keys when needed is exactly why I added/swapped out a couple locks (like the shower and twist locks). New keys (that were keyed to same door key etc) came with them from Bauer, and ordered a couple extras. I also use Bolt branded locks for the tongue and hitch lock, the lock on propane and even a cable lock for bikes etc. those use my truck key. So now I only need two keys for anything and everything lock wise and I always have those. Spare in the truck, along with on each truck key chain and wife's keys as well. Should never be without a key! Also lock picking lawyer has not done anything with the bolt locks that I could find sooo, must be ok/decent (famous last words).
