New mattress for the X213

After 10 years of use my wife and I have decided it's time to replace the mattress in our Jayco X213. Any recommendations on brands/models would be appreciated. Also, since we have to climb up into the bed that slides out the back I'm concerned about the thickness of the new mattress. That climb up and in seems to get harder every year. Thanks in advance for responses.

There are many options out there, but we decided to go with the Zinus 8 Inch Gel-Infused Green Tea Memory Foam Mattress / Cooling Gel Foam / Pressure Relieving / CertiPUR-US Certified / Bed-in-a-Box, Queen.
Got from AMAZON due to the shipping....I am a hot sleeper so needed cooling mattress, and needed something that was medium to firm...AND since our bed slide is opposed to another slide that has cabinets on each end, the mattress cannot be thicker than 8" (really 6" but 8 works ok)...since the mattress slides under the cabinet ends of the opposing slide....

Best mattress purchase to date for us...have had it for 6 months and has been wonderful to sleep on in the hot weather, and cold, ... some of the best sleep I've had even in our previous sticks-and-bricks and the mattress we had there....
just a recommendation... most of the US made mattresses were a little out of our budget at the time...so didn't choose one of those unfortunately....

Measure your mattress. It probably a non standard size. If you go with foam. I jave had good luck cutting them to size with an electric carving knife. Serrated knives work to, just harder to get a good clean cut.

First thought is to add a 2" mattress topper.. but that is 2" tall.

Do you have any local mattress shops in the area? We have the Orginal Mattress Factory around here. They advertise they will make custom mattress, including for RVs

I like the Zinus Green Tea in 10 inch. It was very handy that it came in short queen that we have but it comes in other sizes. Feels very soft but I am a side sleeper and it is not mushy soft and I don't sink in very far.

Im very happy with the Zinus. We purchased the 12inch hybrid (i believe they call it) it has springs and memory foam. Read the reviews and it will explain thickness = which firmness you prefer. I would also suggest watching the price, I had that on my wish list for 6 months and the price changed dramatically on a fairly regular basis. Very comfortable I almost like it more than the million dollar mattress in my house
