New tow vehicle
My F150 struggled pulling my 26BH through the Ozarks this past deer season.
I don't think that'll be a problem going forward.

The F150 I traded in was a 2013 XLT 4x4, Supercrew cab, 6 1/2 foot box with a 5 liter engine and just the regular tow package. It pulled the 26BH great for the most part but when I got into longer grades at 2 degrees or better it was just tough on her.
Also, when I made my trips last year I was headed out for 10 days of real boon docking, so my two 42 gallon water tanks were full and I was loaded with hunting gear for a 10 day drip. I didn't exceed the GVWR for the TT, but I was loaded.
My wife was talking about towing the TT to Virginia in the future since our son is stationed at Langley and while the F150 might have been able to pull it over the mountains between Tennessee and there I was worried about it holding up over time. We would make these trips loaded much lighter, but I just wasn't comfortable with the idea.
Besides, I've always wanted an F250.

Thanks guys. I'm still drooling just a little bit over this truck. It's in the shop now getting a Line-X bed liner put in. I can't begin to tell you how much I despise plastic drop-in bed liners.
I'm curious about one thing. The hitch receiver has a 2 1/2" opening. The WDH I have is a 2" model.
The truck came with an adapter to reduce the opening to 2". I'm guessing that provided the ball mount has enough adjustment room to let me get the 3" additional drop then I could just continue using that hitch, right?

Your WDH will be fine with the adapter. Tow that way a lot with both trailers and machinery.

As GrumpyDad says, "don't loose the adapter". After I got my 2500HD, one of the first things that I did was get another adapter from a local hitch company. You can order from etrailer also. When we had the Jayco 32BHDS I kept the extra in the trailer. Only needed it one time, when my son took the boat out and left the hitch and adapter at the boat storage. It would have been a long drive back to the lake to get the adapter. Kept the DW happy that we could get to our campsite on time and not several hours later!
