Noisey Axles

Hi folks, we are on a short camping trip across Florida to the West Coast at Koreshan State Park. Our Jayco Whitehawk 20MRB has suddenly developed very noisy axles. Function is good, we just sound like a rambling wreck. What to do?

Buy some spray lubricant (Krown rust spray would be good) and spray your leaf springs and any other moving suspension component. This happened on my old trailer and a good lube of the suspension fixed it.

Under what conditions? Is this while pulling down the road, or only when backing up? Are you sure it's the axle? Often the WDH makes lots of noise while turning. If it's the hitch, gearing the ball will help, I gease mine every 1500 miles, and my noise disappears.

Yes the WD Hitch makes noise... I'll give that a bit of lubricare but it's the axles. And it's loud... I'll try the spray lube...

My noise was creaking and the occasional pop. Very metal-on-metal type of sound. I'm assuming yours is similar? Anyways I hope it works for you, if not you're only out a couple bucks and your metal suspension parts won't ever rust lol.

I would jack a wheel off the ground and spin it and try to rock it. If it is a bearing issue you want to discover that now rather than when you are on the road.
This should also tell you if something is coming loose.

And check all the wheels!
