Noticed

Today we were sitting outside talking over how we are going to go home. Then we noticed a brand new Jayco trailer behind a 1/2 ton truck. No sway control and nothing but a ball. This is very scary! Did the salesman just sell them a trailer and then tell them good luck?
I went over to talk to them about it but they were not there. How can anyone pull a trailer like that? Maybe I am getting too old! Is this the new way?

Not new, just them taking a chance at losing their trailer, and maybe the truck if it goes into a death roll. Hopefully it doesn't happen, especially with other traffic nearby. If asked, they'd probably say "never been a problem".

Were you at a campground? I've seen quite a few towers stop and remove their WD bars before pulling through the campsite.

Been seeing a lot of that. People think if it has a Class III hitch they can just hook anything up and go. There's another thread about this very same subject.

The ball and hitch had no bars accessible. My wife and I noticed it was hooked up. That is why I wanted to ask them how do you pull that trailer.

Personally, in today's environment, I wouldn't. He may tell you to ***##*, or even take a swing.
