Pets and Good Sam Roadside Assist

This came up on DW facebook today, someone with Good Sam road side assist
phoned for a tow and the tow truck refused to tow there TV, TT, or MH because they had show dogs with them. I know some people traveling to shows carry a lot of dogs.So my question is has anyone been refused service because of pets they travel with?

Can't answer your question directly, but I believe their refusal to tow would make sense from a liability perspective. I'm making the assumption there was no place for the dogs to travel except in the RV being towed. If that's the case and one of the dogs got hurt doing the tow, it's not beyond reason to believe some folks would hire a lawyer and take 'em to court.

I used to operate a tow truck an animals did not factor in to the vehicle being towed or not. But that said we never ran across someone with show dogs and or more than 1 pet

Good Sam contracts with independent tow operators correct? If so, it could be the tow company's policy or insurance stipulations rather than a Good Sam issue.

I was thinking it may have been the amount of dogs in the vehicle, we were at one dog show and a large class A pulled in and they had 20 small dogs with them and they are not going to fit in the tow truck.

Had my own towing business and we would take 1-2 dogs but never had to deal with show dogs. could be a whole other can of worms. I think that is a policy from the tow company
