Seal ok?

I replaced the wheel seals and repacked the bearings and this is what 3 wheels look like after 400 miles. The hubs are cool too the touch. Is this normal or did I screw up the outer seals?

Looks like a little to much grease and centrifugal force threw it out.

Sorry if my questions are silly but Did you hand pack the bearings or use the ez lube fitting? Did you test fit seals before sticking them in the hub? Reason I ask is my local RV center sells bulk no name seals, they are junk. Check your old seals against the new ones to compare the lip design. If your rig has ez lube axles, the seals need to be replaced with seals designed for ez lube axles. I order timken or Dexter seals, at least I know they are top quality.

It definitely looks like you may have not seated the seals properly. Grease should not be being slung like that. As FF78 asked above did you buy no name seals? I will only buy Timken bearings and seals...

My boat trailer does that on occasion, but it's just the excess in the hub / cap that slings out.

They are Ez Lube hubs but I hand packed them. The seals are from Lippert. They had the same specs as the Dexter seals so I went with them. I'm hours away from home and don't really have a means of pulling the hubs. I might clean off the grease and recheck when we head to the next CG in a few days.

Bad seals don't leak out the front of the hub like that, they push grease onto the inside of the wheel. As others said, that's just excess grease coming out the dust cap. I wouldn't worry.

X2. Pull the rubber plug and remove all the grease u can by hand, than put plug back in. The plugs also break down and crack and grease leaks out. If u do not remove excess grease it will come out from just Force and when brakes r hot
