Nice trailer.

Just watched a video tour of the 2017 Coachmen Catalina 283 RKS you just bought. Very nice trailer.

Yes and the under the counter sink with the covers and the stove with the glass cover at counter top level really add to it. Jayco makes this floorplan as well, its the 29RKS, its a bit longer then the Coachmen.

Nice to jhear about your experience.
I'm an old restoration guy with vintage cars, trucks, travel trailers and whatever. Four years ago I tackled a 94 E350 Fleetwood Searcher M.H from bumper to bumper, including upper engine rebuild & manifolds, build in T.V you name it we did it. Well, we put 45,000 miles on it the last four years and lived the travel soooooo much. We decided to buy something newer and so happy with our newer 05 26ss Jayco greyhawk. Just like new with only 17,000 miles, looks like brand new to us so it's time to sell the cherry 1994 Fleetwood. And live in a little more modern comfort on wheels. Love my Jayco

Sold the Jayco

Congrats Crabby! We were also seriously considering the Coachman before we purchased our current Jayco.

I almost had a heart attack until I read the last line, this place would not be the same with out you. It matters less about the name on the outside of the trailer than the people you take with you.

I became a professional fisherman, but discovered I couldn't live on my net income.

Crabman,

Very nice looking TT/floorplan, and I like the fact that from the sofa and the two chairs you have a clear view of the TV.., no counter or dinette to look over/around!

Also, with the rear kitchen I like that most of the cabinets are located on the side wall rather then the rear wall...., contents will tend to stay in place while in-tow.

As you know my last couple TT's have been Jayco Eagle's, and was looking forward to a new Eagle next year...., but Jayco dropped the Eagle floorplan I was considering.

I've now been looking outside the "Jayco" box myself for my next TT, at the moment Arctic Fox Silver Edition and the Grand Design Reflection models have made my short list. I'll wait to see what the 2018 Eagle line-up looks like before I pull the trigger.

Bob

I was a die hard Jayco man two rv's ago. I had two of them before my Keystone Energy toyhauler. In fact, I was looking for my third Jayco when I stumbled across my current Heartland Sundance XLT. There are many choices out there now, and nothing wrong with checking out something new. You just never know what you might discover...

Yes tv viewing angle is nice,on our BH it was terrible, located in a cabinet high above the dinette. I heard where there were some concerns about items flying out of cabinets on rear kitchen floorplan, our first 200 mile trip happily had no such events.

I've heard good things about the ArcticFox line, not sure f they are available on the east coast? If I recall Grand Design and Arctic Fox/ Northwood are still independent companies.

The Arctic Fox models are built by Northwood Manufacturing in Oregon, but there are authorized dealer(s) in Ohio and Pennsylvania. The last I heard Northwood Manufacturing is still privately owned.

Grand Design was recently purchased by Winnebago Industries.

Congrats on the new trailer. We have the same floorplan in an Eagle and really like it. Best kitchen config according to the one who uses it 99% of the time.
