EMS PT50C. I will never hook up without it even at my home base. I actually have two of them. One still in the box will be put in service if the primary one ever has to go back for warranty service.

Progressive EMS PT50C is the one I have. The only reason I like the built in on is the remote monitor but this one has done the job for almost a year and I know it can be repaired if it get damaged by a strike.

I have one installed inline in the RV BUT since I boondock 99.999% of the time it just sits there...

It also will be harder to "walk off" than the in-line models, as well.

I have been saved twice by one.
Now looking at options for permanent mount with remote display.
Anyone willing to share what they use and why they chose it over something else?

I learned the hard way in my early TT days. A lightning strike fried my systems. Luckily wiring survived so it was only a $600 repair bill. Could have been much worse.

Now I would never hook up without!

Have same unit as Rustic Eagle. Also installed a quick disconnect power cord when I did the install.
