TPMS Flow through or Cap? Overall system?

I recently had a blow out issue and it was recommended by some great folks here on the forum to invest in a TPMS.

I have a couple of basic questions and I hope tap into the experience of those who are using the systems to assist in me in gaining some practical knowledge.

Question 1: Which type of TPMS do the great folks here on the forum recommend? Pros/Cons please.

Question 2: Which type of sensor is recommended (cap or flow-through)? Pro/Cons please.

I appreciate any assistance you provide.

I've had both but prefer flow-thru as I don't have to remove it to air the tires.

I use TST trucker TPMS. Excellent customer support.

We use the Tire Minder system as it can watch all 10 of our tires; up to 22. also, we noticed that with the caps we don't have to fill up the tires very often. They stay at pressure for weeks. Don't get the one that goes to your phone. It's a secure feeling to have the screen on all the time and with a push of a button see all the temps and pressures.

We have the caps and it is the system from Tire Minder.
I have one cap that I think is allowing air to leak past, so I need to verify on our next trip.
If that is so, it will be a call to T/M for a replacement.
I like that I can remove or add my trailer tires with a simple selection of buttons on the reader.

Tire Minder TM77 with cap sensors.

I had to get Minder Research to replace some sensors because they were not within their published specs.

I agree that the cap sensors, at least for me, have had no air leakage. Yes, they have to be removed to increase or decrease inflation but it doesn't happen often and not with all tires when it is done.

Most important, is when the TPMS is installed use a good quality pressure gauge to check the tire pressure.

Thanks for all the suggestions and recommendations. Once I get my trailer back from the dealer for damage incurred from the blowout I will be installing new tires and the TPMS. So it will be awhile before I get my trailer back. Still too hot here in south Texas to be out anyways.

Looked at Tire Minder, TST, and settled on Eez RV for features, functions, and price.
