We're about 4 years out from seriously considering a new camper. We have a few different things in mind.

One thing I would like, is enough cargo capacity.

We have considered a very small 5ver, so we can get into all the COE and other small areas.

We have looked at horse trailers. They have a number of floor plans, low profile which I like. One brand we looked at will even customize it. The factory rep we spoke with, regarding using it as a car hauler to bring our Model T with us. Not an issue. They even offered to take their horse trailer layout and install it in a car hauler if we wanted, with slides if we wanted to go that way (thinking more horse trailer thou with all the windows).

We looked at SOB that had a huge basement so I can bring a kayak or two, maybe a folding boat, and other small toys. What I liked they would all fit neatly downstairs.

Plenty of time to keep looking.

Our current thinking is to move to a diesel pusher in the 36-40' range. We'd like to tow a Jeep or a trailer with a Jeep and a SxS for getting out on the trails in the SW. The SRW is better than the dually was for driving offroad but it's still pretty heavy and long.

If we switch it would be something like an 8-12yr old Tiffin or similar.

My wife and I were just having this exact conversation and decided that our next move will be a diesel pusher. I too like the Tiffins.

We just returned from a trip to Disneyland, caravanning with my father-in-law who has a 36' diesel pusher. It really made me want one. Our trailer suits us great right now while the kids are young. We're at least 5 years from upgrading to an A-class.

Please forgive my ignorance - What is an SOB as an abbreviation for a type of RV? I know what it stands for outside of RV jargon, but what does it mean when I see it on this forum?

We really like our 355W and it will meet our needs for the next five years or so. At that point our plan is to order a new Dutch star with a tag axle. We will be towing the Rubicon.

It has the same universal meaning for the RV when you discover a water leak

I researched the hell out of these before ordering our 2016 38FDDS. It’s been the perfect camper for us. Living room with large window up front.. separate bedroom in the rear. Got what few bugs we had settled out. Unless something catastrophic happens to our current rig, I have no plans to change it.

Currently in 2016 class A Precept, a few minor manufacturing blips as with all of them, I'm also very handy so that helps! We've been fulltime for a little over 1-1/2 years and it's served us very well.
That being said I'm really not sure, I like pulling a smaller toad (Mini Cooper) with the class A as opposed to a 5er being pulled buy a smaller pick up. But each to there own.
I would consider a class C, depending.

I was having the same problem getting some safety recall work done........... So in went directly to the service manager and said " if my safety issues a not addressed my next phone call will be to the National Transportation Safety Office"!
Let me tell you...they were on it like white on rice!
Don't take any BS from these dealers, stand your ground. We also maintain a web site that we can reach a lot of people with, if need be I won't hesitate to smear there name!

Not certain it will be another Jayco. It might be the dealer, but it seems the quality is not all that great. Ours is only 18 months old and the main slide roof is coming up, the tracks have moved 2 inches from their original position, and the key tumbler has failed for the 3rd time in 18 months. Albany RV service is sub par to say the least. I have to pay a 100 on site repair fee everytime they come out. Not sure how they think its possible ti tow it over 70 miles everytime I need service.

Our next one will probably be the 28BHS. We were at a dealership ready to buy one yesterday as a matter of fact, but the dealership/salesman engaged in some shady tactics which really turned us off (as a friend of mine would say, they tried to pull an okey doke). The specifics aren't important, but the bottom line is that I know to avoid that particular dealer in the future. Had I looked at reviews of the dealer ahead of time, I would have known. I guess my point is, no matter which one you buy, research not only the RV, but the dealership too.

It would be a Momentum from Grand Design to replace our Seismic.

It won't ever be a Jayco again.

We have a 2015 Greyhawk 29me. We are struggling what to do for the next few years. Recently retired so usually just 2 of us in the MH.

2-2.5 months out of the snow is my wife's main interest and is happy with the Greyhawk, but wants me tow a car so she doesn't have to drive our Toyota down south which isn't tow-able. Her 2nd choice is a 5th wheel, but doesn't want to drive a truck as our 2nd vehicle of which we only put about 3,000 miles a year on outside of towing.

We are retired and have a street legal dirt bike on a back rack on the Greyhawk. Spring and Fall, I am by myself often for 2-4 week trips and the bike suits me fine as it does her, but not for a few months out of the snow.

In the next 2-3 years, hope to visit Alaska for a 3-4 month trip and another 2-3 month visit to the western national parks and mountains.

Narrowed down my two choices to buying a jeep or Corolla for a toad or buying a small to midsize 5th wheel with either a F150 or F350 depending on what size 5th wheel. Buying a diesel for is not high on my lists, but is necessary for most of the 5th wheels (30-33ft range) I'm considering.

Problem with all this there is no one solution that satisfies all our needs. We like to stop for photographic opportunities and like waterfalls, lighthouses, and water front when we travel, as are mounts and gorges.

Will continue to read what others are thinking. Maybe I'll get some more ideas.

We are looking at a Vanleigh Vilano 320GK but beds are tight against slideout walls so that's not good. Also no coat closet.

I traded my Greyhawk 31FK for a Winnebago View. Love the handling, mileage and how quiet it is vs. that V10.
