You mentioned recent purchase. Was it new or used?

May make a difference if it is not getting cool. Mine gets cold enough to freeze in 4-5 hours when first turned on electric.

I bought used from an older couple who barely used it. They used it so little that the outside fridge still had the stickers inside it and had not been used at all. Its a 2013 model and according to previous owners had only been used a handful of times.

There are fans for the inside of the fridge that help circulate the air around the cooling fins. We've used these on both our TT's and I think they help greatly. They also keep frost on the fins to a minimum.

Check you 12vdc battery voltage. Turn unit off, then back on.

Also put already cold stuff in it. Makes the fridge not work as hard to get it down to temp.

There are battery powered (C or D cells I think) models. The link I posted requires tapping into a 12v source, inside light or 12v on rear of fridge.

Our 197 fridge works great. The odd time, when switching to propane, I have to turn it OFF and start over.

The manual says you may have to do that 3 times. You have to purge the air/stale gas from the lines if the tanks have been shut off since the last time you used the fridge.
