Anxiously awaiting delivery: Jayco Eagle 30.5BHLT

Hello all,

My wife and I just this past weekend upgrade yet again for our long loved past-time of the great camping adventure. We started out as adventurous tent campers (you'll know what I mean by adventurous if you ever been camping in the Pacific Northwest especially in fall). Then after our 3rd son we decided that we've paid our tent camping dues long enough and upgraded to a 26' TT with bunk beds in the back, and absolutely fell in love again with camping! Unfortunately the old trailerhad an unidentified leak in the roof and it would be more expensive to replace than the camper was worth, so we skipped an entire summer camping season to save the money that would have been spent on the roof to find ourwelves a newer and hopefully long lasting camping companion! We didn't have any bias specifically toward getting a TT or 5th wheel, we just wanted to get a newer camper, but I was definitely not against getting a 5th wheel (guess there just wasn't enough challenge left in setting up, pulling and breaking down the travel trailer). So we looked and looked and looked, everything we saw and like had almost everything we wanted, but just wastn't good enough or was just too expensive. Well this last Saturday we were out looking again and came across our vacation home to be, fell in love with all it had to offer and although more than what we were wanting to pay, we bought it. The RV center is prepping it, delivering it to our neck of the woods, preparing to install a new hitch in the truck, and will be showing us all the ins and outs after it's been completely inspected and repaired as needed. They said 7-10 business days but requested to be delivered in 6, and it feels like its been weeks, will the glorious day ever get here!?!?

Lovely camper! Makes ours look like the Beverly hillbillies lol We love our vintage 1988 and are in the process of an interior remodel (okay, that is all me, dh has the outside, but we only plan to caulk and repaint the roof).

Have fun with your new baby!

Well, the delivery went well! We camped in it the very next 2 days and nights! It rained the entire time! Thank you Pacific Northwest! Anyways, it actually was the best test because now we know for sure we got the camper we needed, one that can contain 3 energetic boys and 2 adults all weekend long without much stir-craziness happening. We absolutely love our new vacation home away from home.
