Greetings and welcome to JOF. There are a lot of great people here and a lot of knowledge to be shared. Remember, most of us have gained our knowledge from learning along the way, just don't ask how some of the lessons have been learned.... roflmao.

Welcome! Curious to see that you reference yourself as from Upstate NY. I always thought we were Upstate NY over here in the Lake George and Saratoga region. Anything north of Hague or Ticonderoga is Northern NY and we refer to your next of the woods down through the Catskills as Central NY. So, what do you call us eastern border folks? FWIW, I think everyone north of Poughkeepsie calls themselves Upstate NY. Except Buffalo of course...everybody refers to them as Western NY.

Welcome from down-the road in Newark! Will be at Selkirk in July. One of our favorites.

I TOTALLY understand that! I don't hunk to actually confuse myself! I sometimes say I am from the area that's gets all the lake effect snow near Syracuse! That sometimes helps!

Selkirk is beautiful! We actually go to Southwicks each summer because we like the beach there.

People from Utica to Buffalo call themselves from Central New York
People from the Adirondacks are from Upstate
Though all people north of NYC think they are from Upstate.. not.
I live near Mexico ME and as you are in the lake effect area.. ( got snow this weekend?) how will you deal with winter in your trailer..?

We plan on covering it and leaving it next to the garage. Shoveling the snow off when we get lots of it.... I am hoping that is good enough. Wish I owned a nice big barn to store it in!

We drove from Mexico to Lake Placid to hike the 46 high peaks..... I can tell you, they are not part of upstate NY! :-)

NY is New York City. EVERYTHING else is upstate.

Buffalo is within one of the 8 counties that comprise "Western NY", but its still upstate.

Lake George could be called "Northern NY", but its still upstate.

I just had dealings with the electric company that covers southern NY, near the PA line. It also covers Buffalo. That territory is called "Upstate NY.
