Hello Jayco friends
Hello, we bought a used 2010 Jay Feather by Jayco TUFF SHELL 23 K. Really like it, it’s simple with no slides and short enough you don’t need to change your driving habits much.
So far I’ve added the tongue generator stand and went with the Predator 3500 from Harbor Freight for 850.00 plus tax but join their credit card and get 100 dollars off. So it’s about 850 out the door.
Today on the Fourth of July I installed 200 watts of solar power. I bought the kit from ETrailer.
Flexible panels. I put the panels in the rear where they would be unobstructed by the TV antenna. That costed me another 96.00 for more cable.
I bought cable that is oil and gas rated, it was 1.80 foot.
We’re ready to head out in a couple days to the Mammoth Mountain area in California. My son 22 years old bought a 1987 Toyota Dolphin C Class camper. Look for us on the road, my tow vehicle is a 2016 Ford F-150 4X4 silver. Pictures coming.
This is my second post. Should have been my first but I had a question that prompted me to join this group.
Happy travels,
Joe

Thanks for the welcome
We’re still out in the road somewhat, currently in Redondo Beach Ca. visiting with family. We already went as far north as Morro Bay & stayed at the State Campground. Played the Morro Bat Golf Course that is a very difficult course with slanted fairways, blind tee shots, Kikuyu grass, Wind and undulating greens. My son shot 87 & I 96 but I three putted on the first two holes & a few more three outs throughout the round.
The solar I installed was great our batteries never got below 12.4 volts. 200 watt solar system, I bought a 12 volt TV before we left.
Thanks for the warm welcome, happy travels to you all.
