Hiddy Ho

New Jayco owner....just purchased 2013 in show room condition. we had a travel trailer when I was younger but things have changed (solar, LED, etc.) wont be hitting road till July due to travel overseas for business but slowing down and retiring in next year so timing is good.

Any hints or recommendations in the Utah/Wyhoming/Montana areas appreciated.

Frontier Days in Cheyenne Wyoming is pretty cool. You definitely would need to plan ahead with reservations. In Montana the Seeley lake area is very nice.

Lots of things in Montana/Wyoming - The North side of Yellowstone, both entrances are outstanding....well any entrance really, but the northeast entrance
is especially spectacular, going through the Beartooth Scenic Hwy...a must see at dawn and dusk...then you get to the Lamar Valley of Yellowstone, where
you might get to see one of the few Wolves in the area...plenty of Buffalo.

We stayed a month at a RV and Trout Resort - in Big Timber, MT...outstanding location on the Boulder River about an 1.5 hr from both North entrances to Yellowstone. But lots of mountain trekking just right up the road from
the campground... follow main boulder rd...small state park where there is a natural bridge, the river goes into the mountain and out the other side...quite a scene...

Dig for Sapphires up around Helena, Missoula, Philipsburg (where the mine is),
rockhound all over the place, and if you can get further north - Glacier National Park is fantastic...just a few things that we were able to do in August/Sept timeframe...

If you haven't thought of it yet make sure you go over the roof and make sure all caulk and seams along the edges are in good condition. I would be surprised if the caulk is not bad if it has not been upgraded to Etearnabond or replaced recently. I would also consider the tires being out of date, grease axles and check brakes plus all interior appliances.
Have fun!
