A few rolls of eternabond tape and some alcohol and some PROPER RV caulk and you will solve those leaks...long enough to learn, enjoy, then sell and upgrade, which you will within a year like most folks do.

Add a motorcycle lift and rack on the back of your RV and have the best of both worlds

Too old?
Hmmm.... how old would we think we were if we didn't know when we were born?
Still too old?

I remember working with my awning. It drove me nuts until I found the little switch at the top of the right hand awning arm. I was on top trying to lift he arm over the catch on the top.
It works much better now.
good luck with that.
Just think, this is just the beginning of all the miracles that you will finally figure out how they work.
Welcome aboard.

I have the same unit with the same problems. Double check for leak evidence inside around all vents and roof penetrations. I recommend re-caulking the windows. It's not hard on nice day with a little help for lifting. You will not regret it... unless you drop one. All the trim pieces are stock items like the edging etc. Get that leading edge of the cabin sealed up today. Also, when the steps fail to work you will need to carefully crawl under to find the control box right under the steps and clean each of the plugs attached to the control box but be careful the steps may deploy once the unit resets.

Now wait, is the alcohol for cleaning, or getting you through the work??

Welcome to the board, by the way!

Very personal call. I'm 68 and stil ride. But, I've decided to quit when I reach 70. For me its one of those things I have decided to quit doing while I'm still on top of my game. Your mileage may vary.

Welcome to the forum Braz. An encounter with Bambi followed with a close call with Bambi’s father, DW decided riding was no longer in her (our) blood. Quickly sold her 1200C then my GL1800 Wing. Enter the RV. Somehow I convincer her that a RZR SxS would be fun and she bit! Having a blast with another type of motor sports.

Welcome to the Forum from Western New York State! Congratulations on the "C"! I too am putting our Goldwing up for sale this spring for a few reasons. We found that there wasn't room on it for the dog to go along, and he refuses to be boarded! We can only play with so many toys, and camping has become our priority, and his too. I've had 10 bikes in my life, but this one will be our last.

Hey Braz, I was never on a motorcycle until I was 65. Now I'm 81 and own a class C with my KLX 250 on the bsck everywhere we go and we go a lot.
75,000 miles in 6 years. We are at lake mead Az. As we speak and I have been all over on my bike
I did sell my airplane at age 80 just because I guessed I should but also make good use of my bass boat....hang in there age is just a number
I also agree, you have some leak issues unless they have already been addressed

Here’s a suggestion. Go rving day and night 24/7 for a month or so until wife needs a rest. Then you slip out the back on your cycle to Sturgis! SEE YOU THERE Lol

As said several times above....get a enclosed trailer (no more that $3000 new) for the Beemer to pull behind the Class C......that is what we did to allow us to ride the Gold Wing around the country pulled.....we pull it behind the Alante.
Keep your knees in the breeze

I am by no means a marriage counselor but have you two thought about retiring separately? My husband and I are going to be doing just that. We do not see eye to eye on retirement. I do not want to do what he wants to do and he with mine. So here is what I am going to be doing. Workamping. I have my eye on a job in Alaska no idea if they will hire me or not but you take the RV to an RV campsite where they need help and you plant yourself there for a few months. It is not that many hours and you get to explore the area. I retire in 3 years. He plans to continue to teach and then go part time working with the schools robotics program. He wants nothing to do with FT RV. So I am going it alone. Might want to start small and go big. Let him do his thing. We have a trailer and tow vehicle. That is what I am using.

Good luck.
