I helped my brother repair an area near the door where water got in. We cut away the damaged floor wood and added pieces of 2x4 going between the metal under frame and along the edges of the hole. Then cut a piece to fit the hole and glued and screwed it into place. After that was done we used some waterproof putty like stuff to fill the cracks and smooth out the joints. Sanded and added new vinyl plank flooring throughout. Make sure you use treated wood and seal it up to prevent new damage.
