New to the forum-

Hi I am new to this forum, looking to learn more about RV'ing.
We might be purchasing a 2016 Jayco 16xrb soon from a friend.
We have twin 9 month old baby boys.
This would be our first camper, as we have always tent camped. I used to have a Toyota Tacoma with a truck bed tent and air mattress that served us well.
Now with babies, we want a little more comfort, but also want to get out more and explore! My current tow vehicle is a 2006 GX470.
Looking forward to learning more from you all!
Thanks for being here for newbies like me!

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on the twins!

Lots of us on this site began like you did - tents etc. - to RVs. There's a lot of good folks on this site and a lot of good information. If you haven't already done so, use the 'search' function, put the twins down for a nap , and start reading!

Top 3 things needed when purchasing an RV

ok. I have a question.

What are the top 3 things you need to purchase after buying a camper?

Anything specific to a 2016 16XRB?

Make sure your truck is adequate to tow the new rig. Make sure you have chocks and leveling blocks. Learn the proper set up procedure and follow it to the letter. Don't let visitors or well wishers distract you.

Welcome to the forum.

IMO, BEFORE YOU BUY, the top thing is to be ready to do a thorough PDI (Pre Delivery Inspection). Plus, with a used unit, the top thing to check is the roof for water infiltration and the rest of the unit for any water damage: Water is the #1 killer of RVs.

Welcome from Southern California! Good on you for making plans to get those twins out early. I wished that I had gotten our trailer much earlier in our twins lives (now 17!) but no regrets, we've kept them quite active.

As suggested do a thorough PDI, search for lists on this forum, or have it inspected by an independent expert.

Please do share lots of pics and enjoy the boys!!

Welcome

Get a good sewer hose, drinking water approved water hose, and some wheel chocks. Also recommend some blocks (scrap wood or orange legos). These items will be used every time you camp.
