Newbie from NY...just brought home our 1st TT

Hello every one, we are from Upstate NY and finally after going to RV shows, talking to RV Dealers and checking Craiglist everyday, we bought a 2007 Jayfeather Sport 218 from a private owner off of craigslist, we think we got a good deal. He wanted $7000 but we got it for $6500. Book value was $7500. They has just got it from a dealer last august but he threw out his back and his wife thought it was just too big for them so they decided to get rid of it. They never used it so its still very clean from when the dealer had it...We are in love with it. It was the first one we saw (used) that had the floorplan we wanted. Queen bed and a couch that turned into a twin...we have a 4 year old so I wanted a separate bed for her and didn't want to have to use the dinette for it. It has the outside shower and a bbq grill that is still in the box. The bathroom has a nice size shower but no sink, but i can live with that. We have plans on going to Lake Harris, NY this summer for a week, a state campground with wonderful lakefront sites. We went last year in a tent but, it was so much work. I am so glad this year we will be doing more relaxing than work! No more tarps! YAY!

Any good suggestions for camping locs? We are big fishermen so we like lakes, especially with bass in them!

Compared to that tent you used last year, this will be a palace. Sounds like you made a darn good deal on that Jayfeather. Congrats, welcome to Jayco Owners Forum, and post often. Glad you are here with us.

Congrats from Rochester, enjoy the camper and Jaycoowners. No real help on the campgrounds, we just got our Jayco last year.

Lake Harris is a nice camp. When I was young we went most every summer when my father was on his High Peaks hiking kick.
Be sure to take a coanoe or kayak!

My grandfather was the caretaker there in the 70's ...my whole mom's side of the family grew up in Newcomb
