Headline font- Bold, not bold

Hi all-- some of the threads have bold font on the headline, while some do not-- what is the difference that drives this? Thanks

I've noticed that threads I have read are no longer bold in the listings. Unread ones are still bold.

JimD is correct as usual! The recent threads column lists threads that are active. The bold ones are recent threads with new posts that you have not read. They are bold to catch your attention to the fact that a post is new to you.

We don't encourage bold except in unusual circumstances.
