Walmart

Walmart issued a cautionary message today:

Due to severe cold weather at some of our stores, we recommend that you wear 2 pairs of pajama bottoms and socks with your slippers.

People may make fun of Walmart but they are doing much better than Sears, K Mart, JC Penny and Radio Shack.

Yes they do and I'm just as guilty of it but I still shop there and I'll bet they do too.

Walmart

Love me some Wally World jokes. But alas I have to rely on the Internet for the humor, haven’t set foot in one in over 15 Years.

I don’t shop there because I don’t care for their business model, but I too am glad they’re doing well because that means the economy is continuing to grow, and that’s what we all want.

Went down to our local WALMART here in town and with the outside temps in the high teens it was very cold inside the WALMART building. You could see your own breath.

I asked why it was so cold inside and the word I got was they don't have control of their own building heat settings. All controlled from the regional WALMART home offices...

The warmest spot I found was from the hot air blowing across the main exits when the doors get opened for foot traffic...

Sure made my WALMART shopping stay get hurried up to get back to my warm truck haha...

Walmart's not on my Nice List. Well, walmart.com isn't. First warning should have been when I ordered a new RV sewer hose. And it came in, clearly repackaged and missing the connectors!!!

Then, I tried to order some things on CyberMonday and, three times, I got an Order Confirmed followed by an Order Cancelled message.

Chatted w/ Customer Service and while they were nice, they were wrong. They told me order wasn't cancelled, all was fine. No surprise it wasn't fine. They could see the problem was on their end but didn't know what to do to fix.

Christmas, I should've learned, but I ordered the ONE toy my kid wanted from walmart.com. Order went thru, not cancelled. But, I never got updates. Finally, two days after it was supposed to arrive, I chatted again w/ Customer Service.

Once again, the rep was very nice but again told me "All is fine, it's on it's way..." Only when I asked for and pulled up the Tracking Information did I see it wasn't fine and it wasn't on it's way!!!

Now it's Dec 22rd, this is a *hot* toy, the one thing my kid asked for and I've got to bloody scramble!!

Found one 40 miles away, woke up at 6, drove like heck to get there and grab the last one.

No more walmart.com for me!

Is not the "stuff happens" part; I get that. Stuff happens. Its the consistently wrong information I got from their Customer Service dept.

I've sent a number of letters off to their Contact Us page and haven't heard boo back.
