What a snoozer. KB running away with the show from the drop of the green flag.

I hope NASCAR seriously considers that All Star Race rules package going forward. It is so much more interesting to watch.

I went to bed to about 8:45 too tired to stay up. From what I hear they are goin to test that package 1 more time this year. The Busch series is goin to use it again at Pocono next weekend them again at Indy.

I never thought about using it at Pocono. That may make for a great race.

Pocono is like Indy, flat and wide should be interesting. I heard Harvick mention the car being like an IROC car where everybody was even. He watched the race on t.v. and said from a fan standpoint it was a great race to watch. From a driver's standpoint he said the cars need a little more horsepower so you can have some throttle response. Lot of money to build one of those cars so I'm sure they'll be working hard to get it right

I have always been a advocate for a small displacement engine over a restrictor plate, even at Daytona and Talladega. Say, a 2.5 or 3.0L limit. That would cut the horsepower but still allow some throttle response.

That's what I beleive as well. Cut the engine size and like the current engine regulate the horsepower and components in the engine. I am also a proponent of no engineers with lap tops at the track. Put the car performace back into the hands of the crew chief and only the crew chief. Get the electronics out of it. Go back to the days of a mechanic being a mechanic. The engine builders are the only mechanics left, the rest of the crew are no more than parts changers doin what a lap top tells them. 10 chief's (engineers) and 1 Indian (parts changer)

I'd like to go to Phoenix but I don't know I could handle the drive. Goin wouldn't be bad because of the excitement of it all it's the coming home that would wear me out.

You must be taking the scenic route... for me:
11 h 53 min (785.8 mi) via I-40 W
From you to me:
4 h 43 min (313.1 mi) via US-287 N
Total:
16 hrs 37 minutes, (1,098.9) miles and you can cut about 15 miles off that by going north (west) on US287 to Amarillo
I have to 'recalculate' my GPS often. It once took me in a 5 mile circle around Ogallala, Ne

It reminds me of the configuration they use for the 24 hours at Daytona.
