Camping over Easter Weekend

Who else starts the camping year with the start of Easter? We Start on Thursday and back on Monday night. This will be cold one, I'll have to re winterize when we get back.

I would love to, but extended family usually wants to be together for the weekend and they don't camp. Happy Easter as we celebrate our risen Christ.

Thought crossed my mind until the daughter said she would like to bring the grandkids over that weekend. I don't know who the scheduled the calendar days this year but April 1 is a triple. Easter of which is most important then it's also April fools day and our wedding anniversary

Most campgrounds here don't open until mid April, plus its to darn cold, 20s at night maybe 40 during the day.

Around here not much open
And the roads to campgrounds haven’t all
been plowed all winter
Most of the rest are mud. And heavy loads banned from paved local roads

Those that winter camp in Maine set up in fall and ride in each weekend on snowmachines

We've camped every Easter weekend since moving to South Carolina from Indiana 4 years ago. It's a good time to start the camping season. Does look like it will be a little cold this year, but having camped in Wisconsin in September with snow flurries, we'll survive.

Since it was above freezing for once, we went to our normal Boondocking spot Thursday and Friday evening. It was kind of fun using the trailer, going to Church, and then back to the trailer.

My daughter was afraid that the Easter Bunny wouldn't come if we weren't home, so we came back to the house last night after Mass.

Snow coming tonight again. Going to have to drain the water out again.
