Cleanup on aisle 3

Saw this on Highway 101 on N. California coast. Four-lane freeway and a gentle curve — nothing dangerous. Minimal skid marks. Maybe swerving for a deer? Call is out for an industrial spatula.

Two years ago someone would have spent $20,000 on that "fixer upper".

Me too, but no sign of a TV. The wreck has been there for several days.

If it's been there for two days I'm amazed the tires are still on it.

If you look on the left side of the picture, there appears to be something like a wire guard rail and the ground drops off behind it. With that in mind, and being that the tires on that side are much higher off the ground, I think it would be a challenge for anyone to even reach them without using something like a ladder to stand on.

Even the most ruthless thieves have their limitations. Personally, I wouldn’t even touch those tires due to their questionable integrity after the accident.

Yes, it’s in a tough place to remove and no, the tires didn’t look great (but they had tread as best I could tell whizzing by.)
