How do you like your Iced Tea
How do you like your iced tea?
Here in Texas most people love their iced tea really sweet, personally I like mine unsweet. There are a few that don't like their "cold" tea with ice, and some who don't drink tea at all, an aberration in the South generally. So I thought it would be fun to see who likes their tea and how they like their tea.

Tea ice is good but not required, no sugar but lemon or lime is always nice.

I like my ice tea in someone else's glass, so I don't have to drink it.
But, I understand the appeal. Kinda like those who play golf, not my cup of tea but understand the appeal.

I actually like it equally both ways, sweetened and unsweetened.

I have been drinking sweet tea my whole life, but recently because of sugar issues, should really only drink unsweetened and add artificial sweetener. I have found over the years the key to making good tea is to begin with really good water, I prefer filtered drinking water. Please don’t ever make your tea in a coffee pot, even if it has been washed, you can still tell the difference. Also, lately I have enjoyed a “Arnold Palmer”, which is 1/2 Tea and 1/2 Lemonade, you can do this without using any added sugar.

Lol. I’ve been to some restaurants that really put a load of sugar and that’s a bit over the top for me.

I'm not a sweet tea guy.
I used to travel through the deep south for work and every time I asked for unsweetened tea in a restaurant, they looked at me like I had three heads.

I like sweetened tea but 2 years ago I had a kidney stone that was 6 mm trying to go thru a 4 mm tube and had to have surgery. Was told by the Doc that the tea made the kidney stone. Now I have a glass of orange juice every morning and drink more water. He told me that I could still drink tea but drink 1 glass of water for every 1 glass to tea. Surgery was not fun but the 9 days after surgery was the most painful, until the stent was removed.

That sounds good, the 1/2 tea and 1/2 lemonade. Do you make the lemonade or buy some? I don't drink sugar in my iced tea, but about 1/2 teaspoon in my hot tea. I do want my tea for icing to be really strong otherwise it tastes like flavored water when you put it over ice. Yuck.
