It's A Girl!!!!
Wahoooo! We have a new granddaughter! She arrived 3:30pm on Dec 28th, 2009. Mom was in labor for only an hour and half! Hailey was 7.6lbs and 19 3/4" long. She has two older sisters and one brother.
Good thing we bought the Jayco bhs with the 'jack and jill' beds!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! Best wishes for a speedy recovery for Hailey's mom. Thought your family might enjoy the following quotation:
“Our kids are God’s message to us. . . God’s way of delivering the future in the present. Our kids deliver what life sometimes only promises to deliver.”--Noah Ben Shea
Quoted in: Mark Albion, MAKING A LIFE—MAKING A LIVING (Warner Books, 2001?), p. X.

My granddaughter, Haley, turned 2 yesterday. Popular name it seems.
They do grow up so quickly.

Rolly, how did you come up with the spelling for Hailey with an "i"? My daughter tried all possible spellings but liked that one best. Her name has two "i"'s in it so I think that's how she came up with adding the "i" to Hailey. Some older baby-boomers commented with ".... oh Haley Mills!" when they found out her name. And a couple of "geeks" popped up with Haley's comet! LOL!!

My daughter and son in law told me that was the name they were going to give my grand daughter on my birthday just before they were born. Haley is a twin and her brother got my son in law's family names. This was easy for them since they were able to satisfy both families with one pregnancy.
I liked it a lot obviously.
