14 days, 4078 kms (2533 miles) and mostly great weather. I avoided the interstates on the way there as much as I could and kept it under 65 when I couldn't, truck pulled the trailer great and we are so happy we upgraded to the Ram last year, looks like I averaged about 13 MPG but my math is awful so don't quote me on that.
YNP was neat as always, our 22 month old loved all the "hot" "fish" or "ducks" (all water is fish or ducks and any mist, dust or cloud is hot)
Stayed 4 nights at Fishing Bridge which is the hard sided units only campground and the only place with hook-ups in the park. Pretty bare boned sites with no picnic table or fires allowed. 5 nights at Grant Village to the south so we could visit the ends of the park without driving all day.
We spent the first 5 nights with my parents at Grant and they bought us a Yellowstone Association membership. If you ever go to YNP
GET THIS!! The basic "Gardner membership" is only $35 and gets you 15% discount on pretty much all merchandise and GROCERIES! Prices are a bit high on a lot of the grocery items since it is basically like going to Disneyland and you don't have much choice unless you want to drive all the way to one of the towns on the edge of the park.
only rained at night and the day we left so we were happy. Stopped at Silverwood in Idaho on the way back for a day before coming home.
Now I have to go back to... ugh... WORK tomorrow.
