Dutch oven/camp oven combo?

I am search of a good quality, cast iron Dutch oven, either 10 or 12 inches, but..

I want the flexibility to use with coals (top and bottom) and also to use with an induction cooktop. It appears the ones designed for coals have legs, and the ones for stove top use do not have legs, but do not have the lids suitable for coals.

Anyone have one they use for both?

Rural King farm stores usually have a good selection. I have one of each from there. Some wal-mart stores carry them.

You can buy a Dutch oven without the legs on the bottom and use a trivet to sit it on and get coals under it, if used with coals you want a lip around the top cover so the coals dont roll off.

I've used both but prefer the legs atrached. It's one less thing to keep track of and it also helps when rotating it during cooking.
I would recommend one of each. Just make sure it has the long handle to remove the rimmed lid. Some come with and some do not.

O have a bunch of such ovens. I primarily use the ones with legs. It is fairly easy to use a legged dutch oven on a stove or in an oven.

I do have a legless dutch oven with a rimed top for coals. I have a few chunks of steel tubing I store inside it for coals.

The rest of my legless ovens, get used on the stove.

I have all Lodge with legs, but I have seen Coleman makes a few without the legs. The ones I have used from other friends were of pretty good quality, but from China and have a very textured outside, which makes upkeep a little more tedious.

As far as induction goes I guess that would work since it's cast iron.
